The front of this lumbar pillow is made from handwoven and hand-dyed black mudcloth from Mali and vintage indigo from West Africa. These forms of textiles are handwoven; the cotton cloth is then sewn together in strips and dyed with fermented mud or indigo. No two pieces of mudcloth and indigo are exactly the same, which makes each piece unique! The backing is a natural-coloured cotton/poly twill and has an envelope enclosure.
